The Gundam universe is a fascinating world full of robots, epic warfare, and complex characters. This Japanese franchise has captivated viewers and enthusiasts since its debut in the 1970s. What's even more fascinating, however, is how this world translates into another creative and artistic domain: Gunpla building.
What is Gundam?
Gundam is a long-running Japanese anime and manga series about giant mecha robots, called "Mobile Suits," and their pilots. These series often touch on themes such as war, politics, and human relationships. Over the years, several alternative timelines and universes have been created, expanding the franchise and its potential for storytelling.
Introduction to Gunpla
"Gunpla" is a combination of the words "Gundam" and "Plastic Model," referring to plastic models based on these iconic mecha robots. Gunpla building has become a global hobby, where fans gather to build, modify, and paint their own Gundam models.
