Building models and miniatures is a hobby enjoyed by many enthusiasts worldwide. Whether you're a fan of Dungeons & Dragons, Critical Role, or Transformers, there are always new projects and parts to explore. But what's the best way to organize your collection of model kits and miniatures, while also displaying them nicely? Here are some tips and products that can help you achieve this.
Tips for organizing and displaying your collection
- Categorize your model kits: Start by dividing your model kits into different categories. For example, you can separate fantasy miniatures from sci-fi models. It can also be useful to have a separate category for painted and unpainted miniatures. An excellent example of this is Critical Role Unpainted Miniatures: Percival & Cassandra de Rolo which can be organized with other unpainted figures in the same series.
- Use shelves and display cabinets: It's important to have a dedicated space for your collection where you can both see it and keep it organized. A display cabinet with glass doors prevents dust from accumulating and allows you to showcase your favorites, such as Critical Role Unpainted Miniatures: Demon of Justice.
- Create a display focus: Designate a section of your shelf or cabinet to create a display window for your most spectacular builds. Products like D&D Nolzur's Marvelous Miniatures: Koalinths can look particularly good in such a display.
- Rotate your display: To keep your display interesting, you can regularly swap out which models you feature. This can also provide motivating inspiration for new projects.
