The battles of World War II ravaged the world, and whilst the Band of Brothers starter set focuses on the Eurasian theatre in the aftermath of D-Day, Island Assault! shifts the focus to the Pacific, where US Marine Corps troops face off against Japanese island defenders in some of the most brutal and hard-fought battles of the war. Island Assault! is one of the best ways to get into Bolt Action, whether you're new to the hobby or a seasoned veteran. Inside this box, you'll find two opposing forces presented in highly detailed plastic. Twelve United States Marine Corps (USMC) infantrymen supported by an M3A1 half-track face off against twelve Japanese infantrymen and the threat of a Chi-Ha tank. Also included is a double-sided battle mat and MDF diorama themed to the theatre to set the scene. Inside the box, you’ll find a QR code. Simply scan it, and it will take you to the Bolt Action website, where you’ll find a free downloadable Bolt Action Field Manual. This incredibly useful document will take you through every step of the hobby with simple, follow-along instructions. Learn how to build your new models and take them straight into battle! Through a series of fun introductory missions, you’ll get to grips with the key mechanics of Bolt Action. In no time at all, you’ll be leading your forces into battle! Once you’ve played through the introductory missions, you’ll be ready to delve into the full A5 Bolt Action rulebook contained in the set, and from there, the possibilities are endless!
