Millennia have passed since Hazlia's defeat by the great gods and the crushing of their offspring. During a time of conflict, the fire gods, or Jotunn as they are called in Manheim today, have avoided the company of their bitter cousins, choosing instead to follow their mother's vision. For centuries, these estranged cousins have avoided each other at all costs, and their rare encounters have often ended in disagreement and bloodshed. But this has begun to change.

Prometheans from the southern Firelands have begun to appear in the northern lands, preaching visions of the return of their mother and the liberation of their father. Their conviction is so strong that they have cut out their own eyes, believing that their next vision will be of their mother returning to heal them and raise them to her side as her most beloved children and guardians of her lore. Their words have awakened a long-forgotten hope in both the Titans and the Jotunn, igniting the flames of a feeling long lost to them: Hope.

This powerful new motivation has seen Seidr (or Oracles as they are called in the Southlands) become leaders among their kin, a position long abandoned by the Ice Jotnar after their humiliation.
