Innsmouth is a town time has forgotten, swallowed by shadows and decay. The once-grand city streets lie abandoned and the bustling harbor has little left to offer against the raging sea. The air smells of salt and rot, and no sane person would willingly come here—especially not knowing what stirs beneath the waves. Yet here you are, tasked with guiding curious tourists through this dark and dangerous place. Innsmouth Tour Guide lets you play a bold (perhaps reckless) tour guide charting the most terrifying sightseeing route imaginable. The tourists are eager to see the town's haunted landmarks—but cultists and Deep Ones prowl the shadows, waiting to snatch them up. Balancing risk and reward is key: the more you expose your group to danger, the more points you can score… or lose. Innsmouth Tour Guide follows Arkham in an innovative dice-and-write experience inspired by En Route.
Each round, players roll chunky 20mm custom dice and collectively choose which ones to use, drawing routes and tourists on laminated maps, all while reacting to the changing game state and each other's decisions. The game features five playable characters, each with unique abilities and scoring bonuses. You can all play the same character or enjoy a completely asymmetrical experience.
Ancient artifacts, hidden tourists, and a shifting threat system add tension and tactical depth to every choice you make. Navigate the dangers, outwit ghastly creatures, and emerge victorious as the most successful tour guide Innsmouth has ever seen.
