Konflikt '47 Linebacker Jump Walker

After the disastrous paratrooper assault on Collegno in 1946, the limitations of the original M2 Mudskipper series became clear. While a perfectly adequate design, Firefly paratrooper infantry needed more versatile fire support when dropping into combat. American designers developed an extensive series of modifications for the Mudskipper to increase its tactical flexibility. An M21 Tesla Cannon and innovative new universal secondary weapon hardpoints allowed the walker to be quickly configured to meet a variety of threats. The more articulated legs and feet were much more resilient to the stresses of heavy landings, and a new control system allowed it to be crewed by a single operator without loss of functionality. The new variant was designated the M2A5 and was officially considered a continuation of the Mudskipper series rather than a distinct vehicle, but crews and Firefly troopers soon referred to it as the ‘Linebacker’. The new model’s combat debut came in May 1947 when 200 Linebackers were rushed to the front line to help break Axis lines during the Siege of Stuttgart during Operation Valentine.
This highly detailed multi-limbed plastic model allows you to assemble one Linebacker armed with its signature M21 Light Tesla Cannon on one arm, and your choice of weapon on the other, such as twin MMGs, twin auto-cannons or twin super bazookas. It also features an MMG mounted in the ‘nose’, which can be swapped for a flamethrower. The model comes with a clear plastic canopy (which can be assembled hinged), allowing you to see the pilot seated inside.
In games of Konflikt ’47 a Linebacker is a formidable weapon, capable of dashing around the battlefield thanks to its jump mechanism, or even deploying anywhere on the board from Reserve to bring its firepower where you need it most. Combining this mobility with its Light Tesla Cannon means you can exhaust a Rift dice and unleash a deadly Tesla arc.
