Napoleon's warfare was characterized by an impressive diversity of exotic uniforms worn by the various armies that marched and fought in the early 1800s. No uniforms were as exotic and magnificent as those of the French army's Hussar regiments. These elegant light cavalry wore attire inspired by both Turkish and Hungarian cavalry. Each of the fourteen regiments formed had unique uniforms, which meant that a Hussar brigade was a fantastically impressive sight.

Mounted on small but tough horses, the French Hussars were primarily used in scouting and raiding roles, where their élan and style compensated for their smaller size and lack of armor in battle. Armed with the curved light cavalry saber, they also carried a carbine or, more commonly, a pistol into battle. Each regiment was divided into four squadrons, with two companies in each squadron. The first company in a regiment was usually the elite company, distinguished by their bearskin pelisses. Vive L'Empereur!

Although a standard unit size for French Hussars is usually 12 in most games, this box allows you to create 13 mounted French Hussars. This allows you to set them up with or without command models, giving you flexibility in gameplay. The models come unassembled and unpainted, allowing you to give them your personal touch and color scheme.

To ensure your models remain in the best condition, it is recommended to store them in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight and moisture. If you choose to paint them, use acrylic paints for best results. Make sure to let them dry completely before assembling them.
