German Heer HQ (winter)

German officers were renowned for their competence and experience. Junior officers were trained to take over the roles of their superiors and used their intuition to handle various situations. An officer unit in this set consists of one officer and can include up to two other men who serve as his immediate assistants. Due to the high quality of most German officers, Bolt Action rules classify them as either regular or veteran.

German Heer (winter) Medium Machine Gun

Known as "Hitler's Buzzsaw" due to its impressive rate of fire, the MG42 had a rate of fire of 1250 rounds per minute, which is more than double that of the British Vickers Machine Gun and the American Browning. Including this powerful weapon in your army gives your infantry the support they need. Unlike other armies, the Germans used this machine gun both as a squad weapon and as a tripod-mounted support weapon. The tripod provides a more stable firing platform, making it easier to maintain continuous fire through belt feeding.

German Heer (winter) Medium Mortar Team

The Granatwerfer 34 was the standard medium mortar for the Germans during World War II. This weapon was highly effective and had a long range, allowing it to provide excellent support in combat. The mortar can be transported in three parts: base plate, barrel, and bipod. With sufficient ammunition, it can maintain a rate of fire of between 15 and 20 rounds per minute, with a maximum range of 2400 meters.
