Bolt Action - US Army Support Group (HQ, Mortar & MMG) is a fantastic set, perfect for both collectors and players. This set includes:

• 1 x US Army HQ: A leading unit with officers who quickly learned the realities of war and led troops in battle.
• 1 x US Army Medium Machine Gun Team: Equipped with the reliable Browning M1919A4 .30-caliber with a rate of fire of 500 rounds per minute and an effective range of over 1,000 meters.
• 1 x US Army Medium Mortar Team: Consisting of the 81mm M1 mortar, known as a great killer of infantrymen throughout the war, with the ability to fire a dozen bombs in a minute.

The US Army initially had little combat experience, but officers and soldiers quickly learned. Throughout the war, rapid promotions occurred and experience was quickly gained, meaning that even inexperienced officers sometimes led troops in battle.

Medic: Field medicine provides wounded soldiers with the best chance of surviving serious injuries and regaining combat effectiveness as quickly as possible. Junior medical personnel, such as stretcher bearers, can accompany medical teams in the field. Medics were not always armed, but often carried a pistol for self-defense.

Medium Machine Gun: The US Army was equipped with an excellent medium machine gun: the Browning M1919A4. Due to its weight (31 lbs), it was always used with a tripod for stability when firing.

Medium Mortar: The M1 mortar was crucial in the US Army, where its ability to deliver lethal force made it an essential part of the infantry. The mortar's bomb fall provided great destructive power, especially compared to artillery shells.
