Based on the original 1900 novel, considered the first North American fairy tale, the story is about Dorothy, an orphan girl in her early teens, and her dog Toto, who are sucked into a hurricane along with their house. But during this journey, they must confront the Wicked Witch of the West, who intends to reclaim her sister's ruby slippers and use their power to become the most powerful creature in Oz.
