In the board game War of the Ring, we assume the "historical" outcome for the Battle of the Five Armies. Fate of Erebor is a variant of War of the Ring where players assume that the Shadow player won the Battle of Five Armies, dramatically changing the course of history.

This mini-expansion adds a new dimension to the game and opens up fascinating scenarios where:
